Howard Assembly Room x Open Studios
I’m really excited to share that Howard Assembly House has opened an exhibition space showcasing the work of talented local artists from Leeds.
The gallery is launching its first collective exhibition on Sunday 13th September as part of Leeds Open Studios. I’m delighted that one of my artworks has been selected to be part of the exhibition, where it will be on display for the next three months.
It’s wonderful to have the opportunity to be part of a space celebrating local creativity and talent.
SONDER

In conversation, Kai, Jan, Luisa and Jem found that their work all came to fruition through a similar lens – an admiration for their surrounding people and place, and the way we all move through those environments.
Sonder (first coined by John Koenig for his project, The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows) is a noun that refers to the profound realisation that every passerby is living a life as vivid, complex and real as your own.
Through painting, drawing and textiles, the exhibition reveals glimpses into those vivid lives lived by the artists and those that they observe.
